Gayle Ballantyne was a self-taught pen-ink watercolor artist from Northern Ontario who sadly passed away in 2017 after a short battle with her health. Living by South Porcupine Lake, she could take a short stroll to find artisitic inspiration of nature including animals, flowers, rocks, water and trees - all of what makes the North beautiful. In addition to her artwork, she also taught unique perspectives and creative draw with students locally ranging in age from children to adults. She had a passion for creativity which she shared with anyone wanting to learn.

She is missed greatly by her family and friends.
